Automobile Simulation : scFLOW & SC/Tetra

Image
The SC/Tetra uses a finite volume method with a vertex - centered control volume and the wizard for analysis. The drive offers the ability to learn, set up, and perform CFD simulations in a very simple and user-friendly way, with a simple interface to the computer.

Mesh refinement focuses on regions where geometry is complex, where there are high speeds and pressure gradients, and where geometry is complex.
There are applications in which tiny details such as the curvature of the surface do not have a strong influence on the entire flow field. Mesh is created based on geometry and flow fields to efficiently analyze the problem.

People who come into contact with the body of an Ebola victim are also at risk and should take protective measures to prevent possible infection. According to the CDC, there is no approved drug to cure Ebola or a vaccine to prevent it.

Applications that benefit from structured meshes include electronic cooling and HVAC architecture.HeatDesigner uses the core technology of scSTREAM to perform thermal fluid analyses specifically designed for electronic cooling. It simulates a variety of phenomena with unique functions such as heat flow, temperature, pressure, and pressure gradients, as well as temperature and temperature fluctuations.

CAD can be imported twice as fast as previous versions, and new features include heat flow, temperature, pressure and pressure gradients, and temperature and temperature fluctuations. Existing functions such as angle blowers and fans, heat exchangers, airflow control, and air pressure control have also been improved.

LES is often used for noise analysis, which is significantly influenced by time fluctuations and to simulate the behavior of small vortices. LES to model small mesh element sizes or directly calculate other vortices. Users can use the new LESS model for small and medium mesh elements as well as for large mesh and large-area elements.
The MSC Co-simulation provides seamless co-simulation, and overlapping mesh elements can be created with the improved overset mesh function. With co-simulation and chain simulation in conjunction with the new LESS model and the use of the LES model for small and large meshes, we can achieve a much faster and more accurate simulation than ever before. Marc Adams will release the first version of his next-generation simulation tool as well as a new version for the SC/TETRA later this year.

scFLOW Simulation on Automobile Aerodynamics
In previous versions of scFLOW, SC/Tetra required high memory usage and parallel processing, which has now become so much faster than it is more efficient. The SC/Tetra achieves this by using a vertex-centered scheme for more than 10 million elements, which we can handle with 2 GB of RAM. In addition, we have developed a new LESS model for co-simulations and chain simulations, which we have achieved with the new MSC Co-simulation and LES model.

Automakers can achieve the best aerodynamic results by aligning the engineering workflow to integrate simulation and wind tunnel testing. At the touch of a button, surface pressure, flow rate and torque converters used in automatic transmissions and vehicles can be calculated just as easily as the fabric woven into the body, such as airbags, air intakes, exhaust systems or the front and rear wings.

The software supports large mesh sizes and enables fast mesh generation and parallel calculation. Prism layer elements can also be created automatically, and the layer thickness can be adjusted so that it is linked to the width of the flow channel.

Simulations can be carried out in real-time using a computer visualization system, and the network can also be refined in various ways, such as with a 3D printer.

It can also be used to analyze the environment, and the user can view it as part of the simulation, perhaps in the form of a 3D model. This enables the real-time visualization of objects and the creation of detailed models and simulations.

This function also makes it possible to analyze the state of the environment such as temperature, humidity, air quality, and other environmental conditions.

The performance of the HeatDesigner can be optimized for applications that do not require precise reproduction of fine geometric curvatures to predict precise flow fields. For example, the user can analyze ball valves with the overset mesh function for the position and position of the ball valve elements. Even the rigid bodies that absorb fluid forces, such as valves and flow control, can be analyzed in the same way.

However, the HeatDesigner is able to accommodate a mesh of up to one hundred million elements and thus capture fine geometric details.

A major advantage of the HeatDesigner over scSTREAM is its ability to run simulations in most commercial solvers. Experienced CFD analysts are able to get most, if not all, of these commercial solvers up and running in a few minutes.
